Peter -
It depends upon how you meter. I shoot Konica IR at EI 8 when metered through a
#25 filter. You are correct in that an orange filter will give you a bit more
speed (and appear the same as the images shot through a red filter) due to the
speed of the filter. I don't use an orange filter, but I would think that if
you were metering through the filter that you could keep your settings the
same. If not, then add a stop or so for the filter facter.
