Konica IR in ID-ll
I have generally used Rodinal for B&W developing because of the one-shot
convenience. Now that I have better access to a B&W darkroom, I will be
processsing more and so I am trying Ilford ID-ll as a better general
purpose developer. I could find only one time for ID-ll and Konica IR
and that was the stock solution at 6 min. I wanted to use it at 1+1.
Having read that it is similar to D-76, I used the recommended time for
D-76, 1+1, at 8.5 min.
Some images look rather thin, although some look good, but I haven't
tried printing them, yet. I would have just assumed underexposure but
the edge information looks thin as well. (I also did a roll of SFX that
night which looks fine, edge-marking-wise, but of course there is more
information for that film/developer combination.)
Does anyone have any experience with ID-11 and Konica? Is this the
correct time with faulty technique, or do I need to develop longer? Any
information would be appreciated.
