Canon EOS Cameras

I am presently shooting IR on an old EOS 620 with mechanical sprocket
counter.  I own an EOS Elan IIe with the infrared counter. I would like to
use the latter because of the better technology but I am concerned about
fogging.  Does anyone out  there in IR land have any experience with these
cameras and can tell me how much fogging I will get??  Will it just be on
the edges, or will it extend into the image itself??   Any help as usual
will be greatly appreciated!!
