Re: Pinholes
I'm sure that everyone on this list who uses HIE would want Kodak to continue
manufacturing it, and of course fix the pinhole problem if their budget allows.
However I remain sceptical that Kodak would do either of these thing as an
altruistic gesture, therefore unless Kodak needs us to tell them they've got a
problem with pinholes, then our letters of concern probably won't achieve much.
Since their prime motivation as a company is to make money on their products
then like Stan said, if it is not financially viable for Kodak to fix this
problem, then why would they?
I'd be the first to admit that if Kodak stopped making their 35mm HIE that I'd
be out to the stores in a flash buying a big supply to put in my freezer! But
the truth is, we have no idea what Kodak wants to do with this film long term,
so any adverse reactions would be unwarranted.
regards
Peter

To the group,
Kodak is finally admitting that it has a problem manufacturing 4x5 HSI
and, to a lesser extent, 35mm HIE.
