My favorite near IR transmitting and visible blocking film is unexposed and
developed slide film (Ektachrome).  It has an optical density > 3.0 in the
visible, and around 0.3 at 800 nm.  I suppose that fully exposed and developed
_print_ film (C41) might work too, but I have not tried it.
