Of which the reply on top is the worst of the two....making it near 
impossible for the next person to reply....
Quotes (edited to a bare minimum indeed, just think of how the 
digests looks with unedited quote after quote) belong on top, not on 
the bottom. If only for the fact that quotes on top will be seen by 
the writer, and not ignored, regardless of its length, and hence 
hardly ever edited. Gates & Co have added insult to injury in this 
department, by starting a reply with empty lines, inviting people to 
reply on top, and even worse: offering settings that don't require 
the writer to even *see* the quote at all....
