PINHOLES

To the group:

On November 9th I wrote to this group about Kodak admitting a problem 
manufacturing 4x5 HSI. This problem - very fine, clear pinholes in the 
processed negative - may apply to all it's infrared emulsions. 

Perhaps I was not clear in my 11/9 message, so let me put it this way:

I WANT EMAIL WHICH STATES HOW LONG AND HARD YOU HAVE LABORED TRYING TO 
GET UNBLEMISHED NEGATIVES USING KODAK INFRARED FILM.

My contact at Kodak, Dick Johnson, seems willing to fight for getting 
his company to fix the problem. He indicated that user comments - 
especially ones that assume the film is good but processing causes the 
pinholes - would strengthen his hand.

I do not think that long technical or political letters would be 
appropriate. I will print and mail the comments to Johnson in Rochester. 

Now that I have forced this admission from Kodak and said that I would 
send comments from other sufferers like me, I would like some support.
