New to IR

Okay, just bought my first roll of IR B&W film and
will be loading it into my Nikon F5 in a day or so.
I have 2 Nikkor lenses:
   35-135mm AF F3.5-4.5
   300mm AF F4

I am about to enter the world of IR.
After I get familiar with the B&W, I will try color IR.

Any advice, ideas or suggestions??  Anyone??
