New Nikon F100, ....infrared safe??

Can you tell I'm switching from Canon systems to Nikon?  I just purchased an
N90s on 11/24.  Guess what else happened on that particular Tues., Nikon
annnounced it's releasing the F100.  (kinda combines the n90s and f5, lets
those of us who can't afford the f5 experience some of its features)  I'm
thinking of returning the n90s and waiting out the couple months, release date
is Jan. 99.  Oh yea, is there any reason why this camera wouldn't be infrared
safe?  That's the whole reason I'm switching to Nikon in the first place.
