I can't speak for 70mm but I have several cannisters of 35mm HIE that have been
repeatedly thawed and refrozen (my motto is to always carry too much film. No
effect.
Other 100' 35mm rolls have been continually thawed and refrozen without any
problems. The most common is my 500' roll of TP, which has gone through this
routine at least a dozen times.
