There is more to lith printing IR negs than getting warm tones. As you say
there are other ways of doing that. Lith printing goes hard in the shadows
and soft in the highlights to give soft grainless creamy tones but gutsy
blacks if you want them. It is the perfect marriage with the highlight
characteristics of the IR neg (IMHO)

Jaap,
Just finished visiting your updated homepage. I enjoyed it very much,
especially seeing the IR/Lith image. There's no denying that the process
goes with HIE. Then again, I'm spoiled. I usually print on warm tone paper
and use selenium toning or even sepia.
