Some emulsions have changed since the book you have Harald, so some simple
tweaking of the dev is needed with Sterling Lith paper now (it is Process
Supplies lith in the book you have) as it has become prone to pepper
fogging - a rash of dots over the print. Easy to control when you know.
Best papers are Sterling Lith, Forte's papers - Fortezo, polywarmtone,
Ploygrade and bromofort, Kentmeres Kentona (different name in US)& Art
Classic. The latter more for the colours than the other lith effects. Also
Kodak Transtar TP5 (resin) - and especially for you Hans O. Mahn's Macolth
dev and Maco Expo papers. They are in Hamburg so you should have no problems
getting them. Try PHOTO@xxxxxxxxxxxxx They will be in the US under Cachet
too.
Sterling are putting up a new web site any time now and you can order
direct. They will be showing extracts from the book too. I'll let you all
know when it is up.
