What kind of film is this?

Stumbled across the following ad in ebay:

"This film is unused, for an Imagesetter, and it is sealed in the
original plastic wrap, but there are a couple of tears in the wrap of
each box."

"This came from a government surplus auction, so I do not know how is
was stored. Please note also that the film is past its expiration
dates ."

I've never hear of this infrared film before could any one tell me
anything about it?  Sounds neat!  What's an imagesetter?
