Thanks to everyone for the nice comments. I got several questions and thought
I would answer them here, so please skip if you are not interested.

Actually, the paper is Luminos Classic Glossy Warm (Kentmere Classic). My
usual store carried the Luminos but not the Sterling - I just got some from a
more distant store and will try that next. Luminos has two more textured
papers - maybe I will try them for a watercolour feel (thanks for the suggestion).

All the photos were overexposed on the paper then developed in a very dilute
lith developer for around 6 minutes. After normal fixing and washing, they
were toned in selenium for several minutes. They tended to go purplish, then
as that faded the darkest areas got this brownish tone. That's when I pulled
the ones you see on my site. The coolest thing about the lith prints is
watching the changes in selenium toner - most papers have very subtle changes.
All the color is from the toning.

The most important thing to learn is when to pull it from the Lith developer.
The four on display were the best efforts, although I want to redo them as
well. Some others were overdeveloped and too dark. I actually thought I had
pulled the Bath one too soon, but it actually worked the best - at least for
that image.

I will try HIE images soon. My HIE negs tend to be a bit dense (I have to
experiment more with development) so I thought I would practice lith printing
with easier negs first.

The Rural Window image is a straight slide (Velvia). The composition was a
set-up still life in an old window, but the exposure was straightforward. It's
from a PhotoCD scan of the slide, and I might have made minor adjustments for
web display (eg. adjusted contrast or brightness) but that's it.

Bertha
