Selenium sulfide is extremely toxic if ingested. Use the usual cautions when
handling chemistry (hand to mouth habits (I tend to twiddle my mousetache
when looking at prints, this is very bad)).
The big area of caution that I am aware of, is to make sure that any toner
that is splashed on a counter be washed up right away. If it dries, it turns
into a powder which can then be ingested by breathing. I do my toning in a
tray in the sink, so I just have to rinse the sink well (running the print
washer does this)
