Did they explain why?
Don't think any of the Pentax cameras uses an IR-LED as film counter
(unlike some EOS, Minolta and Contax bodies).
And physically leaking backs, simply because they are made from
plastic, or have a film window, don't exist....you can find both
plastic and film window on many cameras, and none has yet proven to
be a problem.
Try first, believe over-cautious and braindead markedrones
only as a last possible resort....;-))
