- Name: Gregg Simpson

- Profession/Study:  Director of movies and commercials.

- Country: US

- Personal history of photography: Starting in 1979 with B&W photography as a 
hobby.  Then switched to color photography.  Worked in a number of custom 
photo labs as a printer, color corrector, retoucher, etc.  Then got my degree 
in Film and TV and began working in show business.  This year I started 
shooting infrared as a hobby.  One roll per weekend.  Am not doing my own 
printing right now, but look forward to getting back into it.  Aim to put 
some sort of show together by the end of the year, even if it is just for 
friends in a rented warehouse.  Right now, I expect the show will be infrared 
exclusively, but am sometimes frustrated with the limitations or quirkiness 
of the film especially for shooting portraits.  Still experimenting and not 
giving up on it.  Love the infrared for landscapes.

- Preferred subjects: 1) Environmental portraits -- people in their natural 
settings or any other setting that helps tell a story.  2) Nature -- when 
there aren't any people around.

- Materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry): Kodak B&W infrared film

- Format (35mm/medium format/large format): 35mm still photography, but want 
to explore shooting commercials in infrared as well.

- Other strange hobbies:  Too strange to list here.

- How did you find out about this list:  Searched the internet using Dogpile,
