I have been using both the 70mm and 35W ETRSi mags for a year with Lee polyester
#25 filters taped to the front of the magazine openings.  You have to make sure
the backs latch but I have had no problem otherwise.
I made clear rigid plastic covers for the front of the mags to insure that the
filters don't get scratched.  I see no reason that #87 shouldn't work.
