Something for the "What not to do" category

I live in Florida. Saturday was suppose to be a nice day, so I thought
I'd combine 2 of my favorite activities: I went out for a long ride on
my motorcycle with a camera loaded with HIE. Stopped at some great
spots, ate well, and got what I had hoped were some fantastic IR shots.
All went well; till I got home. I had ridden almost 250 miles, and was
bushed. I loaded my HIE in a tank, and developed the negs. Then, I put
in the fixer. I thought "Well, another 20 minutes and I can see what
I've got." I laid down on my bed for a minute to relax, and apparently
was more tired than I had thought, because I fell asleep around 10:00
that evening. I awoke at about 5:30 the next morning, 7 hours later, and
panicked when I realized my negs were still in fixer.......
I washed them well, but won't be able to make a contact print till
tonight. They *look* ok, but I won't know till I print some.
Thought you all might get a good laugh from my misfortune. Anyone know
what the possible outcome could be from WAY OVER-FIXED film might be??
Have a good day-
Brian
