Intro and comment

- Profession/Study: former physicist, current computer programmer
- Country: USA
- Personal history of photography: I started developing my own film when I
was about 12 years old. I ran a photo studio while I was stationed with the
US Air Force in Woomera, South Australia. (A sideline, not part of my Air
Force duties.) Now I just take pictures for enjoyment.
- Preferred subjects: landscapes, still lifes.
- Materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry): I try out a lot of different
film. I no longer do my own darkroom work. 
- Format (35mm/medium format/large format): 35mm
- Other strange hobbies: caving
- How did you find out about this list: from a friend

I have seen comments about reply style on the list. I'm probably in the
minority, but I like the style where the reply is on top rather than on
bottom. I dislike having to scroll several pages down to discover the
reply. With the reply on top, I can see it immediately and then start with
the most recent and scroll into history, which I prefer over starting with
ancient history and scrolling into newer material.

But I don't feel strongly enough about it to castigate someone for bad
manners for doing it the other way. :-)
