I am in Southern California and I pay around $11 for HIE, $7 for Konica, $20
for EIR (ouch!).  I checked the prices at B&H in New York (usually mentioned
as the most reliable of the discount/mail order places).  They publish $8.90
for HIE, $5.39 for Konica, $17.49 for EIR.  So you could save a lot on HIE and
Konica to have friends get it for you in NY. Just make sure they do not put it
in the checked baggage.  (B&H does ship overseas but depending on how much you
buy, the cost of shipping might cancel out the savings.)
