That's what I had assumed, but on the roll I tested this with, the shots
from outdoors with no flash were somewhat underexposed, but still usable
(actually, they were underdeveloped, not underexposedI've since learned to
drastically increase the recommended development times for XTOL with HIE),
while the indoor flash pictures were extremely underexposed (or well
underexposed in addition to being underdeveloped like the rest of the
roll). Maybe I should rate it at ISO 50 or something... I guess a test roll
is probably the only way, since everybody does IR a bit differently (more
so than even b&w).

When using Studio flash with no filter and a 87c over the camera lens we
have found we need to increase the exposure by about 2 stops.  We normally
do this by just multiplying the number of flashes by 4 so we can keep the
same f number to help with DoF.  I know you are working in a different way
but a 2-3 stop light loss would be what I would expect.
