You might be surprised to learn that several Canon EOS bodies draw 
very little or even *no* current at all in bulb-mode....this applies 
to all early models, and later pro models; an overview of how good 
each camera is can be found on my homepage:

Some Nikon pro models offer the same feature....you can even remove 
the battery pack after the shutter is open, to survive extreme cold.

Don't worry, it wasn't that irrelevant (and required a correction as
well!), but a decent mailer should offer you some choices after your
hit the reply button, not just the default 'reply-to-list'.
On some, like Pegasus/WinPmail (the one I use), it requires selecting 
the 'extended reply options' in the preferences menu.
