- Profession/Study: I work as the assistant editor of the Herald Business Journal in Everett, Wash., USA, and am pursuing a M.F.A. in photography.

- Personal history of photography:  I studied photography at the graduate level at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga., USA before moving to Washington last month. I plan to complete my studies here. I shoot for the paper and to illustrate the freelance magazine stories I occasionally write.

- Preferred subjects: Landscapes, portraits (human and otherwise), photojournalism

- Materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry):  Fujichrome Velvia and Provia, Super G 400 & 800, Kodak TRI-X, and Kodak IR. I prefer archival materials and methods when printing.

- Format (35mm/medium format/large format): 35mm, medium format

- Other strange hobbies: mountaineering, rock and ice climbing, hiking, camping, rowing, kayaking

- Expand on anything photographic you like:My first experience with IR was an experiment in a studio with a model. I was very pleased with the results, and plan to shoot a lot more IR, both B&W and color.
