Biography

Hi all -

I just joined this list, and was invited to submit a short biography, so 
here it is.......

Name:  Corrie Zacharias

Profession: I work on the New Media team for a catalog company; if you send 
us email from our website, you'll probably get an answer from me or one of 
the other team members.

Personal history of photography: I have been involved in photography ever 
since I was a teenager, but not very seriously until the last few years. For 
a few years I did horse show photography, but got burned out fairly soon. 
Now I take pictures for myself, and while the pay isn't that great,I'm a lot 
happier.

Preferred subjects: Landscapes and nature, candid portraiture.

Materials: Primarily E-6 films (Sensia II, Astia, occasionally E100). Been 
trying the Kodak chromogenic films, but it's such a hassle to get it 
processed around here, it's hardly worth it. I've used both Konica and Kodak 
B/W infrared (prefer Kodak's)and have it developed locally. Plan to do the 
processing myself when I have the time.

Format: 35mm, but debating whether to buy a 645 or 6x7. At this stage, 
autofocus is becoming increasingly important to me, so it looks like it's 
going to have to be 645.

Other strange hobbies: None that "I" consider strange :-)

How I found out about the list: I visited Willem-Jan Markerink's site after 
reading one of his postings on Usenet, and since I've always been fascinated 
by infrared photograpy, decided to join.

Sorry if this bio is a little longer than the "short" that was asked for. 
I'm looking forward to reading the list.
