The VR is located in Flushing ,Queens, NY and was the site of the 1964 World's Fair of which these buildings still exist (although barely). It is also the site of the climactic scene of the movie "Men in Black" - the observation towers in the backround are the "Bugs spaceship".
By the way , no stiching is needed. This is a continuous photograph using the Panoscan Digital camera...a truely amazing piece of technology with an 87C IR filter over a 16mmfisheye lens...
