Wow, looks like there are a lot of B&H fans out there.
I don't really care what B&H ads say, or how much
praise members of this list pile up on B&H; all I know
is that within the past year, two Kodak reps have told
me (over the phone) that Kodak will not guarantee
Kodak infrared film sold through B&H. Perhaps this
has changed, but I don't think so.
AND contrary to popular opinion there are other camera
stores that offer good prices and service on film. I
see no reason to stick my neck out and buy through B&H
when I can buy from a place like Unique Photo and get
the same level of quality. Besides if you ever did get
a bad batch of film do you know how hard it would be
to prove to B&H that the film was bad. They would
probably place the blame on you, especially with a
touchy emulsion like HIE.
It takes B&H four to six weeks to ship me a roll of
70mm HIE, while it takes Unique Photo about 12 days, I
wonder why?
Sincerely Rolland Elliott
