My name is Helen Grieve and I've just joined this list. By day I'm an 
Instructional Designer in the U.S.A. I primarily design training for high-tech 
companies.

My interest in photography was inspired by my father--he had a wonderful 
ability to capture landscapes, but I especially loved his snapshots of the 
family. My father had a wonderful way with color, but I have always preferred 
shooting in black and white. Although I prefer shooting portraits, since I 
started using infrared film I've been shooting more landscapes, especially 
scenes in the city. So far I've had two infrared prints selected for juried 
shows. 

I use Kodak's black and white infrared film when I'm not using Tri-X. In the 
darkroom I use Ilford paper and standard chemistry. 

I usually shoot 35mm, but lately have been experimenting with medium format 
cameras.

I found out about this list from a friend who has also been experimenting with 
infrared.

I'm looking forward to being part of this list.
