I use an 87 with Konica 750 quite a bit.  My usual EI is 1 --
definitely something to do on a tripod unless you're using a
wide-angle rangefinder so you can get the focus exactly right and
hand-hold 1/30 at 2.8 or something like that.

Another note on 750 with an 87: it's true that standard
polarizers make little difference with HIE and an opaque filter,
but they're still effective in the limited IR range of Konica
750, so if you don't mind an even longer exposure you can combine
an 87 and a polarizer to get even blacker skies and brighter
clouds.
