A Bronnica ETRSi 135W back combined with HIE works great. I use my 135W
back only in combination with HIE! Never had any problem with IR leaks.
There is a minor problem: if possible use a 40 mm lens as you will
discover, that even a 50 mm lens has too small an angle for this
combination. It's ideal for panoramic views, but sometimes you want more
angle in the vertical direction. On the focussing screen the mask for
the 135W is not easy to see. Therefore I have drawn thick lines with a
marker pencil. If you do this you will not need an additional screen.
Finally another hint: the little chrome stud for releasing the film
return winder on the 135W back gets easily loose. I lost already two of
these studs. I now use the stud at the end of a film release cable. It's
only a matter of sticking it in and press! After some training you will
have no problems at (un)loading HIE in the dark. Works perfect! Success!
