Mark,
You beat me to it :-) It's definitely an IR topic.
If anyone has played around with gobos on a flash head, the effect will be
similar.
For me this is the most exciting thing about the eclipse - if the weather
behaves itself. A great opportunity for IR photography - forget pointing
the camera at the sun.....
Unfortunately the likelyhood of good weather is low - it's pouring with
rain here in Bristol (South West England - 98% totality eclipse). Will
have cameras at the ready - but shooting from the comfort of a waterside
restaurant in the city centre :-)
