What odds can I get on a bet that I can tell you *exactly* where the spot
is.... 

Tell me... is the spot perfectly aligned with a hole in the pressure plate
where there's a screw holding it on?

Different reflectivity between the plate and the hole and no anti-halation
layer on the HIE, which the Konica has.  I've got the same problem on my
70mm back, and I took care of it with an opaque black adhesive film... cut
to size and firmly affixed to the plate.
