What the heck does "off the scale" mean?  HIE should be rated however YOU
feel it should be rated.  I've shot it between EI 50 and EI 1000.  My
"normal" shooting speed is EI 250, when metered through a #25 filter.

For about $50 you can get everything you need to develop your own B&W
film.  Cost for developing a roll should be less than $1.  This done, you
would have complete control over the process, as opposed to hoping that
someone might do the right thing.

No.  The R72 will lose at least a couple of stops over and above the #25.
I make a reading with the #25 filter, then shoot 2-5 stops slower,
depending upon the scene.
