Hello Folks:

I am new to Infrared mailing list recently. My name is Timothy Stark. I
used photography as my hobby since I was a teenager. With my old Pentax
K1000 35mm camera, I took some B&W/color infrared pictures successfully.
However, I do not have my old Pentax K1000 camera anymore. I got my new
Maxxum 700si camera now.

Recently I have Sony TRV510 camcorder with nightshot feature. I tried it
but it is good for night only. I ended up complete white image during
daytime. I do not recommend Sony camcorders for infrared because Sony do
not want misuse of nightshot for daytime for some reasons. When I tried
TRV510 camcorder at night and took some pictures. Interesting pictures. I
saw white trees when I took pictures with nightshot mode! :-)

However, I heard that some 35mm camera have some problems with infrared
films. I am looking for good 35mm manual camera? Do Minolta X-370/700
support infrared films? How about Nikon 35mm manual camera, etc...

Thank you!

-- Tim Stark
