Contax Aria and HIE

I purchased a Contax Aria to use with HIE.  After I got it home and opened
the instruction book, I found that it said that the Aria was not suitable
for IE film.  I figured they were referring to a strip of fogged film along
on edge.

Surprise!  When I turned the lights on after loading the film, the counter
said "00," the reading when the camera is empty.  I pressed the release
button several times, but the indicator still read 00 even though I could
hear the motor running.

I have the camera set to leave a tail out when rewind the film.  This works
fine with all films other than HIE.  When rewinding the HIE film, no tail
was left out.

This is information for anyone contemplating the use of the Aria with HIE.
