A 200 speed film label or whatever that is no problem getting a DX code for but it seems to me that there is no such thing as a camera recognizing, with its DX decoding system, that the film someone has loaded in it is IR film. That is what I was trying to say ... probably not very well. sorry about that,

Andrew-
Maybe I'm not geting my point across, either. There IS no way for a
camera to recognize that it has IR film loaded in it. Here is the
problem with the Nikon N60 (and others, I'm sure): if the film cannister
has no DX code on it, the camera simply WILL NOT FUNCTION. It won't even
advance the film to the first frame without seeing SOME sort of DX code,
regardless of what that might be - 200, 100, etc.....that is why you
MUST apply a code label, since the film comes with no DX coding on it.
Hopefully I explained it a little better this time.
Take care-
Brian
