problems w/ dimples are not guaranteed, but I opted for prevention before
experimenting away any HIE film, myself.

I have taped (w/ ordinary "Scotch Tape") a piece of the backing
paper from 120 medium format film across the pressure plate of the
ancient Pentax H2 (c. 1959) I use for HIE. The trick is to tape it
down just snuggly enuf to lay flat on the plate, but not so tight
as to "excessively restrain" the plate. Easier to do than describe :)
I have settled on the paper from Agfa APX25 b&w, as it has what seems
the best texture among the ones I have at hand.
