If you've never had any fogging with IR film then whether it's loading,
unloading or developing it's always worth testing the limits to find out
under what conditions it does fog and how badly at that. Needless to say
you don't want to try shooting a masterpiece when you're doing it or you'll
hate yourself but why stuff around treating a film carefully in
circumstances where it may not be necessary. I like to know for myself when
things will go wrong rather than simply do what other people recommend
because they think something might happen.
