Thanks Tim.
Your information pretty much ties together all the little bits of information
I have gathered from other sources.
However, it still leaves some questions. The Gold Protective formulas are
simply Gold Chloride and Thiocyanate as are most of the other formulas but
with differing stated capacities and tray life; it makes me wonder just what
the differences are.
I did the address for the Canadian source of Fotospeed that you sent; thank
you,
I will be contacting them. My queries to Tetenal and the UK distributor of
Fotospeed have so far gone unanswered. Tetenal is available in the US
through a
number of sources and I believe Jobo is the US distributor. Even with Free
Trade
and all it is still an exercise in excessive time and cost than when
dealing with
a Canadian source.
Photographers Formulary is a source for a Nelson gold Toner, available in a
1, 2, and 4
liter kit. They also list a Gold Protective Toner as well as Gold 231
(ansco I believe)
toner and POP gold toner. Such a selection is what started me down this
road in the
first place. Too many choices and no experience with any. Now if there was
only one
choice it would have made things simple but I would not have had to take
the time to
do a bit of research on the subject. All in all, still bit a confused but
richer for
the experience.
Thanks again for you help.
Cheers, Graham

Are the shadows there for me to find, or placed there by my searching mind.
When I reach and find them gone, was I right or was I wrong?
