Larry-

While the Polaroid slide film MIGHT work, there are a number of caveats.
First, you (or someone that you know) has to have a Polaroid slide processor.
List Price is over $150 for a manual one, although you can buy them used.
Problem is that some of the ones out there for sale might be broken (and you
wouldn't know it until you try).

The second problem (from what I have been told) is that the Polaroid's
emulsion is quite fragile and can flake off. If the folks doing the judging
aren't careful...

Third, I think that the polaroid slide film is about $18 or so per roll of 36 exposures.

I have made slides of my IR prints with Kodak Color slide film in conjunction
with a copystand (although you can do the same thing with 2 lights placed at
45 degrees from the two sides of the print). I bracket to make sure that I get
the right exposure. The slides look fine.
