To WJ and the group,
I have written to Dick Johnson at Kodak (I don't have an Email address) for
some statement on whether HSI is discontinued. He had told me it would NOT
be cut.
Concerning the unlabled 4x5 IR film he sent me to test, it showed no pinhole
or emulsion artifacts and was no more sensitive to finger- printing than any
other BW film. It was on a terribly thin rollfilm base that was a nightmare
to handle. But the images on the film were clean and beautiful.
If Johnson ever gets back to me, I will share his remarks on old and "new"
IR emulsions.
