Some labs refuse to mount EIR and others have no problem.  The lab where I
had my first roll processed refused to mount the slides and scratched the
entire roll to boot.  

Regarding exposure, I have had the best luck with an orange filter (Wratten
15) and starting at EI 200 and bracketing 1/3 and 2/3 stops up when in open
shade (e.g., a canyon) or starting at EI 250 and bracketing up 1/3 stop
when in open sun.
