This depends on your type of metering.  I routinely meter through my Gossen 
Lunasix (LunaPro) with an 87 filter.  I have to remove it to see thru my 
Hassy for setting-up the picture, so I just slip the 67mm filter into a 
little adapter I built for my Gossen, and meter the scene.  It works just 
fine.
