I agree; I've had great luck with the Konica  120 film and the 29
filter--nice, punchy negative. Although I did not meter through the lens, I
just used my light meter at a set ISO and shot with my Mamiya rangefinder
camera.  Actually, since you don't view through the lens in that camera, of
course, you don't have to worry about not seeing your subject!
