Re: Can you really use an 87 filter with Konica 750?

I use Konica 750 with an 87 quite a bit. I use an 87 polyester
gel inside my OM-1 for general infrared work -- it's a good
filter for both HIE and Konica. For some very wide angle shots
I'll even hand-hold Konica with the 87. A 1/15 second exposure
is reasonable to hand-hold with a 17mm lens, and the depth of
field is huge so you don't need to stop down as much as you would
with more ordinary lengths.
I also use a Tiffen 87 on my Mamiya Press, for both Konica 750 in
120 and 70mm Kodak IR. It's a ridiculously expensive filter new,
$92.50 at B&H for a 52mm filter, but I got mine used in an $80
box of several dozen 52mm filters, got rid of the extras on ebay,
and figure the previous owner essentially paid me $50 to take his
Tiffen 87. (If you want to buy one new, they're on the B&H web
page with pricing.)
