Re: IR Light Meter
In a message dated 00-02-26 15:15:25 EST, you write:
<< Has anyone tried this? I'm thinking of using a Gossen Luna Pro digital
and trying it out unless someone has experience with the disassembly of
meters and can recommend a better choice. >>
This is all in red, for some reason. I hope I'm not spreading the red color
to everyone else. It always seems to appear when someone Mimes us. Anyway,
I have taken my Gossen Luna-Pros/Luna-Sixes apart at various times, and have
never found a blue filter in there. In fact, you can see the photo-diode
pickup when you push the button and look in the operating end (not with the
incident light dome in place). I made up a suitable adapter (a black plastic
top from a bug spray can) which just holds my 67mm #87 filter in the open
end, and I cut the closed end with a large rectangle to slip over the end of
the Gossen. Then I read directly through the filter. I'm happy with the
system I've devised and, as I've said, I have no idea about this mystery blue
filter. I think it must have been a different meter .
