IR with a 500 mm mirror telelens?

Hello everyone,

just bought a used 500mm mirror telelens. Maybe this is quite a strange
device, but it was simply too interesting, besides that, it was really
cheap... Per chance a Wratten #25 I got at home fits the lens, so I'm
going to try some IR shots (HIE and Konica IR) with my new toy ;-). From
my experience with my 210mm telezoom lens, I think that some focus
corrections might be necessary, especially with Konica IR (I never used
any focus corrections for HIE with a #25 so far). Unfortunately, the
mirror tele hasn't got any IR focusing marks. So I'm not quite sure how
to focus... Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
