Well since you have that tripod with you, it is usable, but if you were to 
use a really dark filter you would have to use longer exposures.  I know a 
man who shoots Konica with an 87!  I can't remember how long he leaves it 
though!
But his photos come out great  ;-)   Maybe try experimenting?

I've always used Rodinal... its great for really slow films.
But I'm sure Xtol is fine too!
