Yes, you can try other filters than yellow to orange : with a 25 or 29,
you will have a lot of red/yellow/green and no blue at all (blue skies
turn to green). An example is in the first image of
With a green filter (Kodak Wratten #55 or #58), you will have mainly red
magenta and blue (no yellow, no green).
This can be used to give some special ambiance...
But when the EIR sheet mentions cyan, blue, and magenta filters, it's
about color compensation filters (the same that you should use in a
basic (without color head) enlarger for printing color negatives.
Those filters are very light, and change only slightly the colours.
It's the kind of filter you will use to compensate a color dominant
with standard color film. Use them with a yellow filter.
Look at some examlpes of my pictures at
http://ruly70.medfac.leidenuniv.nl/~cor/ir_g_nfa.html#mw
The first image is done with a red filter, the second with a yellow
filter, the third with a yellow and CC30R+CC40B (compensating filters)
and the forth with a nikon orange filter + cyan and green compenstaing
filters. The last image is very different (EIR developed as negative,
then sandwiched with a positive B&W lith film contact)
I have a lot of example about the effect of CC filters, but lack of time
to set a Web page to illustrate that. If someone is interested, I am
OK to send them or put them somewhere (same image in normal color and
EIR with yellow, orange, red, green, and yellow + different combinations
of CC filters)
