Hi there, sorry to all for throwing my proposed answer to the list then
disapearing! I was experiencing computer problems but now I'm back to take
the flack! :-)
Yes, there have been and still are many photos taken with 'blue only'
light.. look to the earliest and simplest films (orthochromatic). These are
blue sensitive only and although they don't "penetrate" the body (or at
least, not in any way that I can percieve), they are remarkable at NOT
showing veins, blemishes, scars, lips (!) and other blood rich, or dermally
depleted, tissue.
If you want to try some - grab some kodalith and (the fun bit!) develop it
by inspection in paper dev in your normal printing darkroom under a red
safelight. a film that's cheaper again is <deep breath!> Kodak Eastman
Fine Grain Positive Release Film. Both of these films have no antihalation
layer so you might have to compensate for this fact and they also have a
clear base - if you want to make transparencies
